File Manager
For Site Developers
WHY:
Benefit of inline styling without the cost (css is concatendated, stored as one url, and cached by browser)
Benefit of inline js without the cost (js is minified, concatenated, stored as one url, and cached by browser)
keep relevant css code (small bits, and js code) with the html/smarty template.
- Dynamically include javascript
- from files
- from urls (to take advantage of CDN's)
- from libraries provided by modules
- from a block tag
- Dynamically include stylesheets
- from files
- from urls
- from libraries provided by modules
- from a block tag
- from a CMSMS stylesheet (CMSMS 2.0)
- Smart file finding
- Dependencies between libraries is automatic
- JS is conconcatenated in one file, and minimized (except for URLS)
- CSS is concatenated into one file, and minimized (except for URLS)
- cache lifetime
- option to disable minify
- option to exclude libraries
- less css
caveats:
- cgjs and cgcss methods have no effect when called via an ajax action (as render does not get called)
For Programmers
- Create jquery plugins or other javascript libraries in modules
- register on install/upgrade of module
- unregister libraries on remove
- dependency management
TODO:
- Get registered libraries function
- documentation
- replacement for {cms_stylesheet}
- less css
- add fetching of remote urls
